About the Journal

Overview

Journal of Modern Energy Research (JMER) is an open access, international energy research journal published by Vertex Academic Press. JMER aims to provide energy researchers with an effective platform for communicating important recent developments in their areas of specialization. Our goal is to foster exchange of ideas and promote international collaboration in energy and related fields.

The journal issues 2 volumes per year in electronic format. JMER publishes original research articles and survey papers related to the topic of energy which offer a significant contribution to the literature and are of interest to a wide audience. The journal conducts a rigorous peer review and acceptance is based on positive feedback from the referees and the editor. 

Aims and Scope

JMER is a multi-disciplinary journal in modern energy research with focus on  contributions that represent significant advances in the field.

Coverage includes power system analysis, hybrid power systems, distributed generation, power system simulation, power system management and control, energy conservation, energy efficiency, electric drive, energy diagnostics, electric machines, biomass and bioenergy, renewable energy, power supply system, energy storage, energy in buildings, hydropower, solar and wind energy, hydrogen energy, and economic and policy issues related to energy.

Editorial Policy

To be considered for JMER, a paper has to be well written, original and not published or submitted, in whole or part, elsewhere. Well written survey articles of current interest by experts are also welcomed. Publication will be upon a positive recommendation from an expert in the main field of the paper. Manuscripts must be in clear, unambiguous and grammatically correct language.

Copyright and Licensing

For all articles published in JMER, copyright is retained by the authors. Articles are licensed under an open access Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license, meaning that anyone may download and read the paper for free. In addition, the article may be reused and quoted provided that the original published version is cited. These conditions allow for maximum use and exposure of the work, while ensuring that the authors receive proper credit.

Author fees

Publication is free of charge for all authors and their institutions. There are no article processing charges (APC).

Publishing schedule

JMER publishes 2 volumes per year.

Open Access

JMER is an open access research journal. This means that the full texts of articles are freely available to users who may read, download, print, and redistribute them without a subscription.

Archiving

All the issues of JMER are archived in the library repository of Ural Federal University.

Journal Management

JMER is maintained through the efforts of the managing editors, the editorial board, and the reviewers. The journal is published by Vertex Academic Press.
